Simetria is among the first Italian technological entities to have obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for services related to designing software solutions and data technologies, as well as providing services for data collection, integration, monitoring, and analysis.
The certification, issued by RINA, constitutes a crucial pillar in the realm of information security, establishing essential requirements and controls for managing such resources. This standard aims to protect information, including personal data, from continuously growing cyber threats. The recent edition of the norm, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, goes beyond being a set of technical rules; instead, it configures itself as a comprehensive framework of requirements and controls that must be managed across various business operations. Among its various aspects: safeguarding the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of data; a dynamic and ever-evolving approach based on identifying and managing emerging threats and vulnerabilities; protecting all forms of information, whether on physical media, in cloud environments, digital formats, or communicated verbally; enhancing the organization’s resilience against cyber-attacks; and finally, eliminating security measures that prove ineffective or outdated.
